Welcome to GoodSpace. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GoodSpace platform, including our website and services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Who We Are

We provide a digital platform that enables users to list, discover, and book spaces. GoodSpace facilitates connections and transactions, but is not a party to any rental agreement between Hosts and Guests.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use our services.

3. Platform Role and Limitations

GoodSpace acts as a neutral venue for Hosts and Guests to connect. We do not own, manage, or operate the spaces listed. We:

• Facilitate payments via Stripe
• Provide listing and booking tools
• May charge a service fee, shown during checkout

All rental agreements, rules, and obligations are solely between the Host and the Guest. We do not guarantee listings or resolve third-party disputes, but may assist at our discretion.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your account information accurate
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
• All activity under your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.

5. Payments and Fees

All payments are securely processed via Stripe. By using our Platform, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Fees are disclosed before booking and may include:

• Host-set prices
• Applicable taxes
• GoodSpace's service fees

6. Cancellations and Disputes

Cancellation policies are set by each Host and displayed at the time of booking. Guests and Hosts are encouraged to resolve disputes directly. GoodSpace may help mediate but is not liable for the outcome.

7. Data Hosting and Security

GoodSpace is hosted on Vercel and stores data using Supabase. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our data handling practices comply with:

• GDPR (EU/EEA)
• PIPEDA (Canada)
• CCPA (California, USA)

We collect, use, and store personal data only as necessary to operate the Platform, provide services, and fulfill legal obligations. For full details, see our [Privacy Policy].

9. User Conduct

By using the Platform, you agree not to:

• Bypass the GoodSpace payment system
• Violate local, provincial/state, or national laws

• Upload harmful or illegal content

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend users who violate these terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoodSpace disclaims all liability for:

• Listings' accuracy or availability
• Conduct of Hosts or Guests
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." Your use is at your own risk.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms or applicable laws, without prior notice.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@good-space.org.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be posted on the Platform or communicated via email. Continued use after changes implies acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Alberta for any legal proceedings.
